In this genre-crossing evening, you can explore MoChiMu’s ten interactive exhibit areas (without the kids), join in on one-night-only hands-on activities and challenges, create your own mythical sidekick, and even craft a magic wand to your exact specifications…
Educator Open House
A free evening for educators (teachers, homeschool educators, paraprofessionals, administrators, & education college students) to explore MoChiMu’s programs and exhibits with colleagues!
Attendees can be the first to book Field Trips for the 2025 - 2026 school year, connect with other community partners, experience one of our new Outreach Workshops, enjoy snacks and drinks provided by SaveMart, and of course, explore MoChiMu – without kids!
Bike N' Trike
Join the Modesto Children’s Museum for a community bike ride and day of family fun in Downtown Modesto! Bike and trike down the Virginia Corridor to Roosevelt Park for our Summer Fun Celebration for all ages with food, hands-on activities, and more!

Relish in summer camp snacks and legendary “bug juice,” weave friendship bracelets and bead lizards, challenge your crew to classic board games, and even take to the Tall Tales Stage for karaoke with Britney, NSYNC, Spice Girls, and more!

Craft paper lanterns, create New Year shakers, practice traditional calligraphy, and add your wishes for a prosperous New Year to our wish tree.

Paint, sculpt, and weave in hands-on experiences across the museum; enjoy snacks and sparkling water as you chill out in creative lounges, and much more.

Join us at the Modesto Children’s Museum for Spring-Break Camp filled with joy, discovery, and wonder! Climb, slide, build, imagine, and explore along with friends new and old in this creative, curious, and collaborative day camp-style experience. At Camp MoChiMu, we become explorers who discover new skills, test big ideas, and learn through play together!
Meow-seum Discovery Days at MoChiMu
The Association of Children’s Museums is teaming up with Netflix and DreamWorks Animation to bring Gabby from fan-favorite series, Gabby’s Dollhouse, to MoChiMu!
Explore and play at MoChiMu and have the chance to meet Gabby at Meow-seum Discover Days! This will be a cat-tastic day of fun at the Modesto Children’s Museum complete with a Dollhouse Scavenger Hunt, Gabby Dance-Parties at the Tall Tales Stage, and more!
