MoChiMu’s next after-hours family party has arrived… and this one is big. REALLY BIG.

After the museum closes, the prehistoric party begins. Join us for a “night at the museum'“ of gigantosaurus proportions! Dive deep into our life-sized Dig Pit and build your own “Imagine-a-saurus,” measure yourself against true-scaled steps and strides, enjoy exclusive Cretaceous crafts, and even meet a real, living dinosaur or two…

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All families are welcome to attend Dino Bash! This “Family Party” is part of our programming series (like the MoChiBoo Bash or Winter Bash) designed for all ages, and to encourage families to explore, craft, and grow together! Just like with Museum admission - all adults must be accompanied by a child, and all children must be accompanied by an adult!

  • A full list of Dino Bash activities will be made available soon, but prepare for snacks, crafts, play, discovery, and plenty of prehistoric surprises!

  • Dress in your dino best! Become a paleontologist! Or just cozy up in your prehistoric pajamas.

    Be mindful that all apparel is family friendly and remember that graphic content of any kind is not permitted in the Modesto Children’s Museum.

  • While the $5 Museums for All rate applies only to standard general admission during the museum’s normal operating hours, we do offer a discounted $10 per person admission to after-hours Family Parties for those who qualify for and receive SNAP / EBT.

    Like with standard museum admission, you can pre-purchase the reduced-price SNAP / EBT ticket online, but the adult who qualifies for SNAP / EBT must be present and attending the event with their SNAP / EBT card and a matching photo ID required at check-in.

  • MoChiMu Members can register for Family Parties at a special $5 per person rate, versus the $20 per person rate for non-Members!
